As a Licensed Clinical Therapist (LSCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), Hal
Nichols combines his personal experience and professional knowledge to provide a unique therapeutic
approach to treating clients with addiction and/or other mental health issues. Hal then moved on
to working in the correctional field at the highly regarded Johnson County Therapeutic Community,
an intensive six month inpatient treatment facility. While there, Hal worked with clients
individually on their substance abuse and mental health issues and taught both anger management and
cognitive skills classes for the facility.
Having been in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction for over 30 years, Hal brings an empathy and perspective to his practice that only someone with a successful recovery experience can provide.
